Supervision for Play and Creative Art Therapists
All Play Therapists and trainee Play Therapists require supervision to help them become more competent, skillful and confident in their work with children.
Child Know How provides Supervision for Play and Creative Art Therapists, including those attending Play Therapy courses.
Clinical Supervision
Clinical Supervision is essential in making us effective Play and Creative Art Therapists. It is a supportive space where a therapist can meet with their supervisor and discuss any issues they are experiencing in their work. This allows the therapist to get a fresh perspective on their cases. The therapist can also reflect on their experience of their cases and clarify their own feelings.
The supervisor will give constructive feedback, sharing relevant experience and knowledge to develop the therapist’s skills, including accessing resources and exploring further training and development requirements.
This ensures the therapist feels supported in their work and that the quality of the child’s therapeutic process is first rate.
