Play Therapy
What is Play Therapy?
Play Therapy is counselling for children using play as the means of talking. Adults talk to express themselves, whereas children naturally express themselves through play.
Just as an adult would attend a Counsellor to talk about their issues and work through them, a child attending Play Therapy will use play to express their issues and work through them.
The Play Therapist creates a relationship of trust with the child and helps the child to express themselves in a safe environment.
What are the benefits of Play Therapy?
When your child is going through a difficult time it is stressful for the entire family. Play Therapy benefits all the family. Your child will be happier and more content as Play Therapy helps them to process their difficulties and resolve them.
